UMCG share of Open Access publications stable at 98%
By 2023, no less than 98% of UMCG peer-reviewed articles and conference contributions were open access - including gold (36%), hybrid (38%) and green (24%) open access. The share of open access publications remained stable from 2021.
Read here the differences between Gold, Hybrid, Green & Diamond open access.
The significant increase in 2021 is largely attributable to the implementation of the open access procedure regulation (Taverne amendment), which has led to a significant growth in the share of green open access. Because the share of gold and hybrid open access has remained stable, the rollout of the open access policy has proven to be sustainable.
The Groningen University Library (UB) and the Medical Library (CMB) are responsible for implementing the regulation.
