The first ever Arts Festival took place on September 14th. After a few introductory words by our Dean Prof. Dr. Gerry Wakker about the underlying idea behind the festival, and a speech by the Mayor of Groningen Peter den Oudsten about the importance of the Arts and Humanities for the city and province of Groningen, the festival was officially opened.
Hundreds of visitors attended the mini-lectures, workshops, and interactive demonstrations, and participated in the many experiments conducted during the festival. The "Arch a eo food truck" and the pop-up Science Shop were among the most visited parts of the festival's program.
