Smart constructing of Feringa Building (video)

Clever prefab solutions, efficient drilling robots, mock-up labs for good pre-testing
25 May 2021

The construction of Feringa Building on the Zernike Campus Groningen is progressing well. The new faculty building for Science & Engineering not only recently reached its highest point, but the indoor climate installations are also already being hoisted inside.

In the video below, construction workers from Ballast Nedam, De Groot-Lammerink and the University of Groningen talk about the progress of the Feringa Building, with smart prefab solutions, drilling robots that do the work three times as fast, mock-up labs for good pre-testing, sustainability solutions and the beautiful facade of the open and light building that is increasingly taking its shape.

When Phase 1 is completed, expected next summer, the first research groups will be able to start using the new environment.
