Construction Faculty of Law: scaffolds, construction fences and tower crane in March

Last month, contractor Visser & Smit bouw started demolition work in Oude Boteringestraat 18 in order to convert it into accommodation for the Faculty of Law. From mid-March, construction fences and scaffolds will be placed around the entire building and on Monday 21 March 2022 the set-up of a tower crane will start. During this crane construction, the Oude Boteringestraat will be partially closed for one or two days for safety reasons.
Local residents who would like to know more about the work, or who have questions/suggestions, are cordially invited to a coffee hour with the contractor on Wednesday 23 February, between 14.30 and 16.00 hours in the building. You can register by sending an e-mail to frg@visserensmitbouw.nl.

Accessibility
The builders want to keep inconvenience to a minimum, but for the set-up of the tower crane it is necessary to briefly enlarge the safety zone. Because of this the Oude Boteringestraat will be partially closed on 21/22 March. The Poststraat will remain accessible.
For more information about the conversion into the Faculty of Law, please check visit rug.nl/groundbreakingwork.
