Grand opening Anda Kerkhoven Centre 

Since 2 September, the Anda Kerkhoven Centre of the University of Groningen and UMCG has been used for education, training and development. The new building accommodates more than 2,000 students and staff. Pharmacy and medicine students in particular will attend their lectures here. The building is named after Groningen resistance woman and medical student Anda Kerkhoven, the building can be found at Antonius Deusinglaan 3.

Friday 25 October was the official grand opening. Several speakers said a piece, authors who wrote a book about Anda spoke, and UG house poet Femke de Heer recited a poem.

Healthy ageing campus

This campus is all about Healthy Ageing. Here, researchers, entrepreneurs and government bodies work together on innovative projects. This place ensures progress in the field of health and well-being. Together, they work towards a future in which everyone can live healthier and longer.

Anda Kerkhoven

The new teaching building is named after Anda Kerkhoven, a Groningen resistance heroine and medical student in World War II. The naming of this building commemorates her courage and ideals.During the opening, the authors of the book on Anda offered a list containing abstract images in Anda's possession.
