The aim of our study for the Samson committee was to analyze the phenomenon of sexual abuse of children in foster care. What do we learn from the literature? What do we know about the Netherlands? What is reported to the Samson committee? How do alumni foster children with sexual abuse experiences look back at their life in the foster family? What is reported by foster care services about abuse incidents?
