Mentor
A mentor is a senior student of the programme to help you find your way at the university and in your programme.
Mentor IEM = LC coach
Within the IEM bachelor programme mentors are referred to as Learning Community coaches (LC-coaches). Every first-year student is assigned to an IEM group led by a Learning Community coach.
During the first year of the programme IEM the Learning Communities are important to learn about:
- the relevance of the course contents
- academic skills you need in the course modules
- study skills
- important deadlines
- exam preparations
The same IEM group is used in the schedule as tutorial groups.
