Programme structure

Knowledge & Professionalisation build-up scheme

The programme starts every year in September and runs in parallel to the academical year.

In the first year of the programme, you will follow courses at the Zernike Campus (University of Groningen) to build up and deepen your design skills & knowledge. In addition, there are courses for improving their professional development, which can be finished in the second year.

All courses will be performed in English. The study load of the first year is 60 ECTS. In the second year, the trainees will conduct their design assignment in the company, which also consists of 60 ECTS.

Curriculum

The course phase is organized 4 blocks (1a-b/2a-b - two blocks per semester). There will be permanent communication and regular meetings with the company over the 2 years, starting year 1.

The non-technical courses (professionalization) will be offered by the PhD academy of the UG or are hosted by external providers.

  • HAZOP sessions, Cost engineering, VOL-VCA
