Free mover exchange

It may be possible to come to Groningen as a free mover.

Bachelor's and Master's students who are interested in an exchange period in Groningen, but whose home university does not have a mobility agreement with the Faculty of Philosophy can apply as free mover. Depending on the intended study programme, the faculty may be able to host you.

Students applying as a free mover should be in the second year of their Philosophy studies at the moment of applying. The following documents should be submitted when first contacting us:

• Proof of sufficient knowledge of English (B2 for bachelor, C1 for master)
• CV and motivation letter
• Transcript of records
• Official approval of the home university to apply as a free mover
• Copy of bachelor degree certificate (if applying for master courses)

A maximum of two free mover students per semester can be accepted. Application deadlines are 15 March (autumn semester) and 15 October (spring semester).
