Exchange

The Faculty of Philosophy offers a wide range of courses in English for incoming international non-degree (exchange) students.

Bachelor courses

At bachelor level courses from our Bachelor in Philosophy and courses from the programme Philosophy of a Specific Discipline are open to incoming exchange students. Due to the structure of the 3rd year bachelor programme in Groningen, the offer in the first semester of bachelor courses at 3^rd year level is limited. Exchange students hosted by other UG faculties are welcome to take courses of up to 15 ECTS at our faculty. Students without a background in philosophy can choose courses from the bachelor programme Philosophy of a Specific Discipline or from the Minor Philosophy.

Master courses

At master level, courses from the one-year master in Philosophy and the master in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline may be chosen. Courses that are specific for the selective PPE and/or Research Master programmes are not open for exchange students.
