Alumni portrait video of Klaas Knot
Date: | 18 April 2022 |
To introduce and showcase our FEB alumni community, we have started a series of video portraits. This is an opportunity for alumni to share their career journey and inspire others. We kick-off the series with FEB alumnus Klaas Knot.
Klaas Knot graduated with an MSc in Economics in 1991 and completed in 1995 his PhD in economics at the University of Groningen. Since 2011, he is president of De Nederlandsche Bank / Dutch Central Bank. As such, he is also member of the ECB Governing Council, governor at the BIS and the IMF. Moreover, he serves as vice chair of the Financial Stability Board and chair of its Standing Committee on the Assessment of Vulnerabilities. We are happy to still have Klaas visiting our faculty on a regular basis. He works as a part-time professor in Money and Banking at the University and shares his knowledge in the form of guest lectures.
In this alumni video portrait, Klaas reflects upon his work and how his studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business helped him build his career.
