It’s World Animal Day today! Wherever you’re from, the chance you have a pet is quite high. So, what kind of pets do UG students and staff have? We asked you on Instagram to share your petfluencer accounts and you certainly didn’t disappoint. Here are 4 lovely pet accounts you have to follow!

If you love guinea pigs, then this account is for you! @jakob_and_jet started out with Jakob and Jet, who fell in love with each other but sadly have both passed away. Now, you can follow all the adventures of Janneke (Jakob and Jet’s daughter), Juno and Jillz! There’s cute, funny, snuggly shots all over the account so definitely give it a follow.

@rockinwrio features English Cocker Spaniel Río. He is originally from Finland, but lives in Groningen so you might be able to spot some familiar places on his feed. You have to hit the translation button if you want to know what’s going on inside his cute little head, but most of his photos speak for themselves. Definitely click the follow button if you’re in need of some lovely, goofy photos on your timeline!

Otis attacks, protects, and loves some good snacks. He has many professions; he makes good bread, flies to space, and, most of all, loves to snuggle, making him a professional lounger especially now that autumn is coming. If you love cats with mischievous little fluffy ears, this account is for you!

Last but not least, be ready for Sjaak and Bobbi to steal your heart. From walking on the beach and swimming in the sea to sleeping in the sun, they do everything together. They live in Groningen, but, looking at the many lovely beach pictures on their feed, can occasionally be found on Wadden island Ameland. Do follow these amazing besties!
