UG Best Practice in Teaching & Learning Award 2022
This year’s Education Festival will showcase the brand new ‘Best Practice in Teaching & Learning Award’ (BPA). This new award is the successor of the well known ‘Lecturer of the Year Award’. The aim of this Best Practice Award is to more broadly recognize good teaching and learning practices within the University of Groningen. In addition to the Best Practice Award, a second prize will be awarded at the Festival: the Honours College Award.
Each faculty was asked to submit one nominee to be considered for awards. Awards can go to either teaching teams or individual lecturers and their teams. The Honours College is pleased to announce that its Education Coordinator, Han van der Strate, will be a member of the jury who will select the winner and two runners-up.
The winner of the Honours College Award will be chosen by public vote. Between 4 and 7 April, all UG students will be able to vote for three practices of their choice. The Honours College encouranges all honours students to participate. The Honours College awards the winning team of the public vote with the possibility to develop a teaching innovation or invest in team development.
