Positron
The positron is the antiparticle of the electron. It has the same mass, but a positive charge.
History
In 1928, the English physicist Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac (1902 – 1984) predicted the positron as the antiparticle of the electron. The existence of the positron was first demonstrated in 1932 by the American physicist Carl David Anderson (1905 – 1991).
