Trading the thermal energy complex - A cross-commodity perspective
In this seminar we will introduce you to the cross-commodity perspective in energy trading. At the hand of several case studies we aim to illustrate 1) The dependencies between coal, gas, oil and power through its production, transportation, and end-usage; 2) The physical and institutional barriers to price convergence in energy commodity markets; and 3) The role of commodity trading firms in physical and paper markets.
The speakers of this seminar are Sean McQuistan and Robert Jan van der Bergh of Gazprom. Shorts versions of their curriculum vitae are mentioned below.
