The social impact of watching a dance performance

24 September 2014

Does a performance influence the behaviour of individual viewers, the relationships between them, and the creation of a ‘community’? A University research team (Social Psychology and Artificial Intelligence) studied this, together with choreographer collective Random Collision. Known as ‘Experiment B’, the performances took place during the Noorderzon Festival. Experiment B is part of a three-year research project funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
