For Infinity: Gerard Heymans (1857-1930)
The University of Groningen celebrates its 400th anniversary in 2014. This will be marked by a festive programme (15 May - 15 June 2014) themed For Infinity (400). What has made the University the renowned teaching and research institution it is today? Which people, ideas and past events played a role? One person who must certainly be commemorated is Gerard Heymans (1857-1930), father of Dutch psychology. Prof. Douwe Draaisma (History of Psychology) and Jan Waling Huisman (University Museum) explain why.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
