Being able to work well in a team is an increasingly important skill in the 21st century. Group work is widely used in university programs for good reason—it helps activate students, facilitates peer feedback, builds a sense of community, and can even reduce staff workload. Ideally, it would also serve as a way to train and assess students' collaboration skills. Yet, while collaboration is an essential skill, training and assessing it remains a challenge.
In this interactive session we will explore key questions such as:
-
How can we train students to be good collaborators?
-
How can we assess students' competence in collaboration?
-
What constitutes collaboration skills in the first place?
Through engaging discussions, we invite you to exchange ideas, share experiences, and gain insights into fostering effective collaboration in education!
