The Central Electoral Committee (Centraal Stembureau = CSB)

By virtue of Article 2 of the University of Groningen Electoral Regulations , the Central Electoral Committee is in charge of holding the elections for the University Council, the Faculty Councils and the Service Department Councils at the university. Pursuant to the Higher Education and Research Act and the University of Groningen Electoral Regulations, all students (including PhD students and fellowship students) and staff of the University of Groningen have both active and passive voting rights. Employees of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek = NWO) and similar organizations who work at the University of Groningen are also entitled to vote.
