Koster, Prof. Sierdjan

Sierdjan Koster is Associate Professor of Economic Geography and Labour Market Dynamics at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences. In his research, he focuses on regional differences in socio-economic developments, regional labour markets, and entrepreneurship. For example, Koster studies the developments in the labour market after the coronavirus pandemic.

Koster also likes to highlight the opportunities and challenges in the Northern Netherlands. For example, he studies the business climate and image of the Northern Netherlands. He is also concerned with how many students in Groningen stay or leave the city after graduation, or how companies in the region can make themselves more attractive to students. In addition, his expertise lies in the field of spatial economics and geography.
