This year’s University of the North Roadshow #2 on the impact of AI on the labour market.
On Monday 4 November, the University of the North organizes its second roadshow of the year at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden. This one focuses on the impact of AI on the labour market. It promises to be a festive afternoon, as the cheques from the third round of the Booster Fund will also be presented.
AI is a hot topic and is already having an impact on the labour market. It takes work off our hands, but also creates new jobs. This calls for training new talents, but also for retraining and upskilling employees who are already active in the labour market, and above all, a coordinated approach between educational and knowledge institutions, businesses, and the government. So it is high time for a roadshow on this topic.
The programme:
-
2.30 – 3 p.m.: Welcome reception
-
3 – 3.10 p.m.: Opening and welcome
-
3.10 – 3.20 p.m.: Klaas Dijkstra, lecturer Computer Vision & Data Science at the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, about how the triple helix model of innovation collaborates on social issues within the I’m AI Experience Center.
