PhD student creates recyclable rubber (video)
PhD student Laurens Polgar has created new, recyclable rubber. Currently, rubber can only be reused in low-quality products, for example poles or rubber tiles. By using a different method to create bonds in the rubber, Polgar has created rubber that is completely recyclable into new rubber, preserving all its qualities. Polgar’s discovery recently won the Benelux final of the prestigious Falling Walls Lab.
