Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics strives for high quality orthopaedics care and continuous improvement in order to help patients to restore their mobility and participate in society. The care for our patients becomes more complex, since patients more and more suffer from several disorders next to their musculoskeletal disorder. Even after successful orthopaedic treatment, patients are often not able to restore their physical activity level. 

We conduct research projects at both local and (inter)national levels to enhance the care for musculoskeletal disorders. Our focus is on optimising prevention strategies, diagnostics, and treatments. In doing so, we aim to restore the physical activity level of patients following orthopaedic treatments.
