Ariuntuya Tuvdendorj, PhD

Ariuntuya Tuvdendorj is a PhD candidate at the Health Technology Assessment Unit, Department of Epidemiology. Under supervision of Prof. Erik Buskens and dr. Talitha Feenstra, her PhD project focuses on Health economics of tobacco control interventions in Mongolia, supported by the Mongolian government. Her current work on cost-effectiveness of tobacco taxes policy in Mongolia using a dynamic model to simulate smoking prevalence and smoking-related diseases burden over time.
She holds a master degree in Health economics from CERDI, University of Auvergne, France (2010) and a bachelor degree in health economics from the Mongolian National Medical University of Health Sciences (2006).
Her research interests are economic evaluation of public health intervention; economics of major behavioral risk factors including tobacco; economics of chronic diseases control; health systems research in the field of resources allocations and improving health system efficiency.
