The UMCG research school for Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Peri-operative and Emergency Medicine wants to focus on the restoration and/or protection of the homeostasis of vital functions by studying the underlying patho-physiology of life threatening events and the influence of pharmacological and other interventions required during emergency procedures, anesthesia and critical care support on the physiology of these patients.
