UCG Career Day

We are happy to share the success of our recent Career Day at University College Groningen on 20 April, 2023.

In a collaborative effort between the study association Caerus and the UCG Career Services Team, we organised an inspiring day for our students, providing them with valuable insights into different career paths and connecting them with industry professionals.

The event was a big success, with over 140 students participating and engaging in meaningful conversations with our invited panel of speakers and alumni. We had representatives from various industries who shared their experiences, expertise, and career advice. Our students had the opportunity to learn about different career options, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into the labour market. They were able to expand their professional network and make meaningful connections with industry experts, which will undoubtedly benefit them as they pursue their future careers. We had guest (speakers) from Make it in the North, Erasmus Student Network, Alyx, Nexgen Careers, Conscious Business, UG Career Services, and more.

The positive feedback we received from both our students and the panelists was overwhelming. Many students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from professionals in their fields of interest and gain a better understanding of their career options. The panelists were impressed with the enthusiasm and curiosity of our students and were eager to share their knowledge and experiences.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their active participation and eagerness to learn. Our Career Day was truly a collaborative effort, and we are grateful to all the panelists, and staff members who made it possible. It is our mission to prepare our students for success in their future careers, and events like the Career Day are instrumental in achieving that goal.
