Advancing Open Science and Interdisciplinary Research at UCG
Open Education Grant
Recently, the University applied for an NWO grant , with an aim to integrate Open Science as a permanent part of hiring and promotion policies. The project will develop an action plan to integrate open science criteria, including team science, into our institution’s reward and recognition policies. We are happy to share that the UG received the grant and that UCG is taking part in a pilot project with Open Education. In UCG's case, this means that Open Education practices will be a part of the promotion policy and that we will explore best practices. More information on this will be available as the UCG promotion policy will be developed.
Jantina Tammes fellow
UCG's dr. Muhamed Amin has become a scholar of the Jantina Tammes School. As a JTS scholar, a researcher has an opportunity to contribute to achieving the JTS mission in various ways, such as through knowledge sharing, conducting interdisciplinary research in collaboration with the JTS, and participating in or organising interdisciplinary activities. This is a great achievement and we congratulate dr. Amin on this success.
''I'm thrilled to have been selected as a JTS scholar in the first round of the program. This recognition inspires me to further pursue my research in AI and Science while also expanding my outreach activities with the valuable support of JTS.'' -dr. Amin
