Strange bedfellows: What is this thing called interdisciplinarity?

Interdisciplinarity is one of the most prioritized policy goals at a national and European level.
Yet, ‘interdisciplinarity’ remains under-defined, and the challenges and obstacles unique to doing interdisciplinarity remain fuzzy. In this project students examined the history of disciplines, disciplinary tribalism, and interdisciplinary education from the perspective of students and teachers.
The results from this project formed the foundation for an edited volume that will be published by Groningen University Press in 2023.
