Dr. Yavuz Tuyloglu
I hold a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex. My doctoral research deploys the theory of uneven and combined development and offers a non-Eurocentric history of international relations within the non-Western world. With its empirical focus on Ottoman-Iranian relations, it recovers the significance of historical ‘South-South connections.’ My current research interests include international relations theory and the (geo)politics of energy transition in the Middle East.
