In my PhD project I study the experiences of motivation and well-being among students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties who are enrolled in secondary special education in the Netherlands. The project is embedded within the self-determination theory.

This research project is financed by the Dutch Research Council through the PhD grant for teachers.
