V. (Valeria) Cernei

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute for Science Education and Communication, Centre for Learning and Teaching, FSE. I received my M.Sc. degrees in Cognitive and Behavioural Neurosciences and Theory and History of Psychology in 2021 and my B.Sc. degree in Psychology in 2018 from the University of Groningen. 

My research focuses on navigating epistemological uncertainty in science communication. Specifically, I am interested in how multiple epistemologies may be integrated and honoured in the process of communicating science and under what circumanstances this process may foster epistemic justice.
