Field/Discipline
Expertise
Though my background is in engineering and natural sciences, my research crosses traditional disciplinary boundaries. I have worked on climate data, climate change, renewable energies, and the effect of pollution on the biosphere (including on humans). I am currently working on better understanding climate-fueled compound and cascading climate extremes.
Other positions
Since 2021, I am a member of the International Ozone Commission (IO3C), one of the special commissions of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics. Since 2020, I am a delegate to the Geosciences Group of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). Since 2017, I am also a member of the Steering Committee of the Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change (NDACC), endorsed by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Since 2016, I am serving in the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) on Ozone and UV Radiation of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW), a program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
