2024 - present:            Associate professor (UHD2) at the Groningen Institute for Educational Research at the University of Groningen.

2022- present:             Managing director of the Stichting voor Pedagogisch Onderwijs (SPO)

2016 – 2024:               Assistant professor (UD1) at the Groningen Institute for Educational Research at the University of Groningen.

 2013 – 2016:              Assistant professor (UD2) at the Groningen Institute for Educational Research at the University of Groningen.

2008- 2013                 Teacher/researcher at the Groningen Institute for Educational Research at the University of Groningen (GION). Coordinator for the three statistics courses in the curriculum for the bachelor Pedagogy and Educational Sciences. Responsible for the structure of the educational curriculum of the methodology and statistics courses in the bachelor. Member of the Faculty Council from 2009 - 2013.

2007 – 2008:               Teacher at the department of Psychology at the University of Groningen. Coordinator for two introductory statistics courses, and partly responsible for a more advanced multivariate statistics course.

2005 – present:           Responsible as a freelance teacher for a course on multivariate statistics and an introductory psychology course at the foundation for pedagogical education (SPO).

2003 – 2007:               Ph. D student at the University of Groningen. In 2009 the doctoral thesis “The use and usability of inferential techniques” was defended successfully.

2000 – 2002:               Teaching assistant for eight courses at the University of Groningen. These include courses on statistics, introductory psychology, physiology and interviewing skills.
