Dr. Pleijhuis is the initiator and project leader of Innovation Friday – an educational program focused on medical innovation.

Since 2021, 60 internal medicine residents (aios) have annually learned the fundamentals of innovation. By working hands-on to implement concrete improvements in their workplace, they become the driving force behind meaningful change. Residents with a passion for innovation can take on a leading role and are given the time and tools to bring their ideas to life. Together, we’re making healthcare better, step by step.
