PhD project: Lost connections - Information transfer between the left and right brain hemispheres and its role in social behaviour

My PhD-project is part of the PRISM 2 consortium where we aim to determine the neurobiological underpinnings of social withdrawal. My work involves testing causality between the quantitative variation in DMN integrity and social withdrawal. Ultimately, the work of PRISM 2 aims to improve the accuracy of diagnoses and treatments for people with Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia and major depressive disorder.
