I'm a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Engineering where I'm the coordinator of the following courses:
- Reinforcement Learning Practical: BSc. Artificial Intelligence
- Deep Learning: MSc. Artificial Intelligence
- Deep Reinforcement Learning: MSc. Artificial Intelligence
Next to that, I supervise BSc. and MSc. students who are interested in doing some research in machine learning. If you are curious about what a thesis under my supervision looks like here are some nice examples of successful projects which have led to a scientific publication:
- Julius Wagenbach: "Factors of Influence on the Overestimation Bias in Q-Learning" This work resultes in the following paper which was accepted for publication at BNAIC/BeNeLearn 2022
- Remo Sasso: Multi-Source Transfer Learning for Deep Model-Based Reinforcement Learning This work is currently under-review
- Vincent Tonkes: "Transferability of Vision Transformers: The key to success on small art classification datasets?" This work resulted in the following paper being accepted for publication at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV)
- Tom Kosters: "On the presence of Winning Tickets in Reinforcement Learning" This work was accepted for presentation at the Sparsity in Neural Networks Workshop 2022
