M. (Matthia) Sabatelli, PhD

I am a lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Groningen. I teach and supervise students interested in all aspects of machine learning.

Before that, I obtained my Ph.D. in machine learning at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Liège where I was part of the Systems and Modeling group supervised by my PhD promotor Dr. Pierre Geurts.

Even before that, I received my Master in Artificial Intelligence fromt he (-0.2) University of Groningen under the supervision of Dr. Marco A. Wiering and my Bachelor from the University of Trento supervised by Dr. Venet Osmani.

I do research in machine learning, more specifically in transfer-learning, a topic which I study both from a supervised learning perspective and (especially) from a reinforcement learning perspective.
