Marijke Leliveld is a behavioral scientist and expert on morality and ethics within consumer and other stakeholder's behavior, and contributes to one of the main themes of the University of Groningen: Sustainable society and to one of FEB's themes Sustainable prosperity.

Specifically, she studies topics like charity donations, cause-related marketing campaigns, sustainable consumer behavior in fashion, and other forms of prosocial or fairness related behavior and perceptions in for-profit and non-profit (governmental, charitable) organizations. 

She teaches both methodology courses in the Bachelor, as well as Experimental Research Design (ReMa), and theoretical courses like Marketing Communication and Ethics for International Business.

In 2019, she got appointed as member of the Young Academy Groningen.

Grants

  • 2016-2018 Research grant from Kennisinstituut Duurzaam Verpakken on "Creating the perfect and sustainable gift experience: Consumers’ (un-)packaging experience of online purchases". Together with dr. Ilona de Hooge, WUR (€175.000)
  • 2014-2017 Veni grant from the Innovative Research Incentives Scheme of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) for the project "Buying for Charity” (€238.680)
