mr. dr. L.D. (Hati (spreek uit Hattie)) Ruigrok
Hati van Kleef-Ruigrok (Davao in the Philippines, 1980) studied Dutch law between 1999 and 2004, specializing in Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Groningen. She then followed the two-year Master's program in Functionality of Law (the Research Master). During this period she worked as a student assistant at the Department of Administrative Law, the Department of Legal Science and at the graduate school of the Faculty of Law.
In 2006 she was appointed as a PhD candidate and lecturer at the Department of Legal Science (Algemene rechtswetenschap). In 2012 she completed her dissertation 'Immediate enforcement of public order or administrative enforcement action?'. Since then she worked as an assistant professor, lecturer, coordinator and leader of the project 'E-portfolio in the bachelor' at the same section. In 2014 she completed the Basic Teaching Qualification and in 2021 she completed her Senior Teaching Qualification. As of July 1, 2022, she transferred to the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, where she focuses in particular on (international) Immigration Law; she is a member of the Working Group on Recognition & Rewards Career Diversification, liaison of the TAG (Teaching Academy Groningen) and since 2021 a member of the Board of Examiners.
Her additional activities before were: chair of the PhD council for the Faculty of Law, member of the committee for the propaedeutic phase, editor of the magazine Jurisprudence for municipalities (JG), member of the appeals committee of the municipality of Heerenveen, guest notator of the magazine AB Rechtspraak (AB).
