Research interests

Assistant Professor Governance & Innovation; Coordinator Climate Adaptation Platform, Wubbo Ockels School for Energy and Climate; Member of the Young Academy Groningen

My research focuses on the role of digital innovations for societal transformations to sustainability. Currently, I investigate the impact of digital technologies on sustainability and energy transitions, climate finance, and democratic decision-making.

My empirical work benefits from a decade of experience in development and environmental governance research, including urban adaptation, water governance, agriculture, and transformation research, with a particular focus on innovation.

I have an interdisciplinary background in Politcal Science and Human Geography.
