I have taught and researched law at the University of Malta, the University of Central Lancashire, the University of Amsterdam and currently at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen.
My current research focuses on four main themes:
Theme 1: Privacy and Security: conflicting and converging values
Theme 2: Data protection and health related data

Theme 4: Converging technologies and convergence of law
In each of these themes I participate in EU-funded projects and/or supervise doctoral research in the fields.
