mr. dr. G. (Gohar) Karapetian

 Gohar Karapetian is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen. In January 2020, she defended cum laude her doctoral dissertation, "Morganatic Citizenship" at the University of Groningen. As part of her doctoral research, she conducted studies at the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas. Her research interests lie in constitutional law, with a particular focus on citizenship, the functioning of the parliament and comparative legal research. From 2024 to 2027, she will lead the KNAW-funded research project titled The Size of the States-General in Constitutional Historical and Comparative French Perspective.
