My PhD project focuses on eating disorders, life meaning, and symptom networks. As a part of the New Science of Mental Disorders project, I am investigating transdiagnostic eating disorder networks and which role life meaning and ineffectiveness play in it. We further want to find out whether these factors bridge towards other mental disorders, such as anxiety and depression. The goal is to determine whether life meaning is a suitable factor to target during eating disorder interventions to improve treatment outcomes.
