Esther Feijen-de Jong is an expert in maternity care. In this discipline, she has conducted several studies focusing on the organization of maternity care. In this research she has two priorities:
1. Improving care for women in a vulnerable position. This research focuses on how to better connect maternity care to the needs of this group of women. Relationship-based care is an important theme in this. All this to improve access to care.
2. Monitoring and improving the well-being of (student) midwives. From the start in midwifery education to the retirement of midwives.
