Provider behaviour in youth (mental health) care
In the Netherlands, municipalities are responsible for organizing and financing youth (mental health) care. As a result, there may exist variation between (groups of) municipalities in terms of contracting, reimbursement methods, tariffs, and other requirements for youth (mental health) care providers. Moreover, within each region, these policy parameters tend to vary over time. Each of these factors can have (unintended) implications for care trajectories. In this project, we seek to uncover how youth (mental health) care providers respond to various aspects of healthcare purchasing and the effects these responses have on treatments and outcomes of children and adolescents.
This project is funded by the Ubbo Emmius Foundation M20 PhD Programme for interdisciplinary PhD research.
