Corinna Glasner is scientific project manager for the leadpartner of the two INTERREG V projects EurHealth-1Health and health-i-care and research associate at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infection Prevention. Her expertise lies in molecular microbiology and local, national and international epidemiology of pathogens. She successfully completed her PhD at the end of 2014 with numerous publications on the subtyping and genomic population structure of major pathogens of hospital infections, such as Staphylococcus aureus. Here she led u.a. Europe-wide prevalence of S. aureus and carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE). The avoidance of antibiotic resistance and the strengthening of infection prevention are also her area of interest during this time. Since 2016, Corinna Glasner has been a central part of German-Dutch cooperation in the current INTERREG project EurHealth-1Health and health-i-care and is learning and living the opportunities of this exciting border region every single day.
