My broad interest is to better understand how people respond to transgressions in the social and political domains from their value and belief systems. I incorporate in my work different insights and methods from social, political, and developmental psychology, as well as from emotion research. My research lies in three main lines: 1. The nature and development of hate feelings. 2. The interaction between personal values and cultural beliefs in moral reasoning and behavior. and 3. The role of justice beliefs and political culture in post-conflict settings
