Deep Atlas Press Release
One of our partners, Deep Atlas founded by geologist Wijnand van Eijndthoven, is the first Dutch company which carried on a groundbreaking and relatively cheap method which can estimate with a short-wave infrared (SWIR) hyperspectral camera whether a drilling location is suitable or how a drilling can be successful.
The data collected and analyzed by Deep Atlas is of great value not only for the gas and oil industry and CO2 storage but above all for the extraction of geothermal heat, a sustainable energy source and seen as the ideal alternative to fossil natural gas.
Deep Atlas has been supported by funding from NOM, G-Force Capital and RUG Ventures, given that its technology can play a great role in accelerating the energy transition in the Groningen region.
