Pharmacy

Medicine is a common part of modern life. Almost everyone will have some form of medicines in their home, albeit common painkillers such as paracetamol, or more specific medicine such as insulin, or levothyroxine. But, how do these different medicines work? How do you make them perform better, or have less side effects? And how do you go from a chemical substance, to administrable medication? Combining Biology, Chemistry and Medicine, this is what you learn during the degree programme Pharmacy. Additionally, you will learn how to advice both patients and doctors on the safe and effective use of medication.
