Artificial Intelligence (AI) is evolving rapidly, with thousands of new AI tools being introduced each month, offering exciting opportunities to enhance productivity. These tools, which span a wide range of applications — from text generation to image creation and video editing — can be powerful allies in streamlining tasks and improving efficiency. This workshop on AI tooling is designed for a general audience, with no technical background required, making it accessible for both academic and non-academic staff.
Who Should Attend?
This introduction course is for everyone who wants to know more about AI tools and how such tools could help improve their productivity.

Content
In this introductory workshop, we will explore the vast landscape of AI tools and how they can be integrated into daily workflows to boost productivity. We will dive into a list of useful AI tools for text, images, videos, and audio. You will also receive tips on how to find and use these tools to get the most out of them.
The first hour of the workshop will be a presentation and discussion session, where we will introduce the key concepts and tools. The remaining three hours will be dedicated to hands-on learning, where you will experiment with different types of AI tools. During this session, you will explore the possibility of these tools and learn how they can be applied to tasks relevant to your role.

You are recommended to bring your own laptop. Please contact t.j.van.mourik rug.nl if you don't have a laptop so we can arrange one for you.
Result
By the end of this workshop, you will understand the potential and limitations of AI tools and be equipped with practical skills to use them in your work. This workshop is designed to engage participants actively, with opportunities for collaborative exploration and plenty of time to ask questions and get feedback.
